"City of Fallen Angels" by Cassandra Clare ( The Mortal Instruments book 4)

*****
The Mortal War is over, and Clary Fray is back home in New York, excited about all the possibilities before her. She's training to become a Shadowhunter and to use her unique power. Her mother is getting married to the love of her life. Downworlders and Shadowhunters are at peace at last. And--most important of all--Clary can finally call Jace her boyfriend.
But nothing comes without a price.
Someone is murdering the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine's Circle, provoking tensions between Downworlders and Shadowhunters that could lead to a second bloody war. Clary's best friend, Simon, can't help her. His mother just found out that he's a vampire and now he's homeless. Everywhere he turns, someone wants him on their side--along with the power of the curse that's wrecking his life. And they're willing to do anything to get what they want. At the same time he's dating two beautiful, dangerous girls--neither of whom knows about the other.
When Jace begins to pull away from Clary without explaining why, she is forced to delve into the heart of a mystery whose solution reveals her worst nightmare: She herself has set in motion a terrible chain of events that could lead to her losing everything she loves. Even Jace.
OOOOOOO!!!!!! I am in love with these books!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant help but never put the book down. Sometimes it is tough reading several books at once...Not this one!!!! 6 hours and I am awesome!!!!!! I am dying for book 5....Great storyline, loads of suspense, action, horror, and love...Thanks Cassandra, I want more!!!

"Betrayed" by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast ( The House of Night book 2)

****
Fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird has managed to settle in at the House of Night finishing school. She finally feels like she belongs, even gets chosen as the Leader of the Dark Daughters. Best of all, she actually has a boyfriend...or two. Then the unthinkable happens: Human teenagers are being killed, and all the evidence points to the House of Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey's old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves. Then, when she needs her new friends the most, death strikes the House of Night, and Zoey must find the courage to face a betrayal that could break her heart, her soul, and jeoparadize the very fabric of hre world. Betrayed, the second book in the House of Night series, is dark and sexy, and as thrilling as it is utterly shocking!!

Wow. That is the biggie!!! Completely in love so far in the series. Must grab book three asap....... yep. Oh Eric is so.....yum, though I am not sure how to rank the professor...yuck. Anyone else want to vomit?? Lol. Love Grandma Redbird...Makes me really miss my Granny. She reminds me of her.... I love Zoey. Her character is perfect for a normal teenager, who isnt the most popular, and suddenly everything changes in her life. She becomes the most popularish in her new school, but deep inside her there is still the obvious. Great job guys keep it up!!

"City of Glass" by Cassandra Clare ( The Mortal Instruments book 3)

*****
To save her mother's life, Clary travels to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters--never mind that by doing so she is breaking the Law, which could mean death. Even worse, Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by Shadowhunters who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight. Luckily, Clary finds an ally in the mysterious Sebastian, who holds a strange attraction for her. As Valentine musters a demon army, can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their ancient hatred and work together? And can Clary harness her newfoundpowers to help save them all--whatever the cost?

OMG! OMG! Love, Love, LOOOOVed it!!!!! Loads of suspense and action!!!! Falling in love with Jace all over again!!!!!!!  So much heartbreak for poor Clary. Love Simon, grows on you through these awesome books. Loved the bits of humor Cassandra throws in. I CRIED!!!!!! I mean I really cried!!! I am so jumping through this so i can start book  Four!!!

"Marked" by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast (House of Night book 1)

***
Enter the dark, magical world of the House of Night. A world very much like our own, except here vampyres have always existed. Sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird has just been Marked as a fledgling vampyre and joins the House of Night, a school where she will train to become an adult vampyre. That is, if she makes it through the Change--and not all of those who are Marked do. It sucks to begin a new life, especially away from her friends, and on top of that, Zoey is no average fledgling. She has been chosen as special by the vampyre Goddess Nyx. Zoey discovers she has amazing powers, but along with her powers come bloodlust and an unfortunate ability to Imprint her human ex-boyfriend. To add to her stress, she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers: When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school's most elite group, is misusing her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny-with a little help from her new vampyre friends.

I have seen several negative reviews about this book. I have to say that is not what I am doing. This book was a little slow at the begining, but turning out I fell in love with the main characters. The story is an unusual begining for a vamp series, and I am very intrigued. Great descriptions, love the humor, loved how easy it was to read.
" "Zoey Montgomery! Night has chosen thee; thy death will be thy birth. Night calls to thee; hearken to Her sweet voice. Your destiny awaits you at the House of Night!"...........He lifted one long, white finger and pointed at me. As my forehead exploded in pain Kayla opened her mouth and screamed...."

"City of Ashes" by Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instruments Book two)

****
Clary Fray just wishes that her life would go back to normal. But what's normal when you're a demon-slaying Shadowhunter, your mother is in a magically induced coma, and you can suddenly see Downworlders like werewolves, vampires, and faeries? Clary would love to spend more time with her best friend, Simon. But the Shadowhunters won't let her go--especially her handsome, infuriating, newfound brother, Jace. And Clary's only chance to help her mother is to track down rogue Shadowhunter Valentine, who is probably insane, certainly evil--and also her father. When the second of the Mortal Instermunts is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor suspects Jace. Could Jace really be willing to betray everything he believes in to help their father?

Omg, Omg, Omg!!! Goooooooo Clary!!! My review on this is gonna be fast, because I want to jump in on book three!!!!! It is staring at me right now.... Cassandra Clare is amazingly awesome and her story line is so intense!!!! You have to fall in love with Clary and especially Mr. Handsome, Jace. Simon I always feel sorry for...poor guy. "City of Bones" by Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instruments book one)

*****
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder--much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tatttoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing--not even a smear of blood--to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know...
A must read!!! Such an original story, I am in love!! Clary and her adventures throughout this book is so addictive! Cassandra Clare did a fantastic job at creating a new line of  "super-heros" per say. I was addicted from the first page and it was extremely hard to put it down. So I kept it with me and now I have to move on to book two!!!!!! Excellent!!

"Elfbitten" by Leila Bryce Sin (A Taryn Malloy Fantasy book one)

****
Taryn Malloy is a Bright Elf, her magic lies within her blood and is fueled by sex and lust. Recovering from a horrible breakup from her long time boyfriend, Taryn is persuaded by her best friend, Roxy, to get out of bed and get on with her life. Taryn has let her magic diminish to a dangerous level and Roxy is determined to help her get over Cillian and she knows the best way to get over an elf is to get under another one. Roxy takes Taryn to a club that caters to the carnal desires of the supernatural community of their city. With elves, pixies, humans, fairies, vampires, lust, revenge and more. Taryn will recover from this breakup, no matter what Roxy has to do.
Hmmmm. My first erotic type book. Very descriptive, funny and interesting. Cute story line and auctally I am interested in reading the next in line. I am venturing outside what I normally read. Taryn and her BFF are a great pair. The ex-elf is a prick and gets what he deserves...very cute characters.

"Unicorn Bait" by S.A. Hunter (e-book)

****
Naomi accidently goes to another planet thanks to a unicorn horn. Unfortunately, the horn doesn't come with her, and she doesn't know any other way back home, but that's not her biggest problem. That would be her brand new husband, and he's kind of scary. Her only hope is a crazy witch who knows something about catching unicorns. Which would be fine and dandy except, it's the crazy witch who interduced her to her husband. And then RAN OFF. She's going to get her for that.
I absolutely loved this book. It was a freebie on Kindle and I was unsure of what to expect. What i did find, was a completely fun and addictive story, and I am dying to know what happens next!!!! Totally great book. Naomi's character is so much fun to get to know, as is the rest of the characters. Talking mice, killer crazy kangaroos, LOL. I want to read another one!!!!!!!!!

"The Vengeful Vampire" by Marissa Farrar (e-book)

**
It is the year 1898, the year of the Spanish-American War, and Sebastian Bandores is aboard a ship, returning home to Spain. After serving his country, he hopes only to be reunited with his wife and young daughter after two years separation.
But someone else is waiting for Sebastian at the port, a vampire. As her obsession with Sebastian grows, so both his mortal life and that of his family is threatened.
Okay just realized this is a 4,000 word short story that leads in the direction of bigger books, I do have to comment that it was just to short to be really entertainings. It could have been longer with better descriptions. It seemed to me it was a rush to get it written. I think it could have been better and alot more entertaining if the author would have taken her time. I will read her next book, there will be my judgement-after I read the first in these books.

"Wiccan" by M. Leighton (e-book)

****
Where does evil live? Is it in the heart? Or in the blood?
Nearly-nineteen year old Mercy Holloway has a gift. Long ago murders play out right before her eyes when she passes over a place of death, but Mercy never thought that her unusual ability would interfere with her having a normal college experience until today, that is.
On her way to school, Mercy witnesses another murder-only this one's different. And Mercy's the only one who can do anything about it. Out of time and out of options, Mercy takes what little information she has to the police where she meets Detective Caleb Grayson. Grayson doesn't necessarily believe Mercy, he's just better at hiding his feelings than most. It's not long, however, before Grayson has no choice but to believe her.
As the two embark on a mission to solve a murder, Mercy starts having more visions. Only these contain messages. And they're meant for her. This powerful, evil killer knows things about Mercy that she didn't even know herself, things she never wanted to find out.
Body by body, Mercy discovers that her gift is not a gift at all, but a curse. And its one she can't escape. It runs in her veins. Can Mercy and Grayson catch a killer and capture love? Or are they destined to fail...at both?

" we faced each other, like enemies ready to duel, and then I turned and walked out the door without another word or glance in her direction."

"He was only inches from me now. I could feel the heat radiating from his body and smell the cinnamon on his breath."

"His stra flickered down to my lips then back up to mine and I lost the ability to breathe. That's what was in his eyes. He was hungry. For me."

Holy crow what an awesome read!!! I am really looking forward to the next one. Amazing characters and very unpredictable. I love love loved it!!!! Way to go!!!! Well written, easy read, and also had me on the edge all they way through. It's a must read. I'm soo keeping. Grayson is a total hOtie. Hee hee. Until next time readers
